Pergusa, lake and myth – half day

Description

From the shores of the lake we will climb by e-mtb (pedal-assisted mountain bike) to the site of Cozzo Matrice, a natural terrace overlooking Lake Pergusa that, in addition to telling us the story of the ancient civilizations that settled on the Erei, will allow us to take a real journey into the myth of Demeter and Kore. In fact, according to some sources, right near its summit is the cave from which Hades came out with his chariot to kidnap the young Kore.

From here, on a route that alternates old asphalt roads with dirt roads, we will visit the hills that surround lower Enna, formed by bright and spectacular gypsum crystals. Finally, crossing the surrounding districts we will finally return to the starting point.
